TBSHS AllWeatherPitch

In order to help fund a new All-Weather Football and Rugby Pitch (AWP) at The Bishop's Stortford High School, we are offering you the chance to buy a piece of the pitch.

For just £50 you get to select 1m² of the pitch, add your name to it and help us 'turn the pitch gold'. Several squares can be purchased together to create a larger space for a family name.

Corporate sponsors can select a section around the side of the pitch and have their company name/logo on display for the first three years.

Once the AWP is complete, the names of all those who donated will be on display at the side of the pitch.

This is your chance to contribute to a fantastic school and community sports facility and help leave a lasting legacy for decades to come.

Gift Aid is reclaimed by the charity from the tax that I pay for the current tax year. To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay an amount of UK Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax at least equal to the tax that the charity reclaims on your donations in the appropriate tax year (currently 25p for each £1 given)*. A tax year is from 6 April one year to 5 April the next.

Notes:

You can cancel your declaration at any time by notifying the charity.
If your circumstances change and you no longer pay enough income or capital gains tax to cover the amount claimed by the Mitre Fund, you can cancel your declaration by contacting us.
If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief via your Self Assessment tax return (currently 25p for each pound you give)**.

* Gift Aid is linked to basic rate tax. Basic rate tax is currently 20%, which allows charities to reclaim 25 pence on the pound.

Thank you for showing an interest in our fund-raising drive to "Turn Our Pitch Gold".

There are some points that you need to be aware of:

If insufficient funds are raised, donations will be ring-fenced for sports related equipment and facilities at the new school site or Jobbers Wood.
You can donate by using your PayPal, Debit/Credit Card or Bank Transfer.
You can maximise the power of your contribution by another 25% via gift-aid.
If you take longer than the reservation time to pay, it is possible to pay but not get your exact chosen squares on the pitch.
If you choose to be Public with your donation, please use "polite" names. The school retains the right to amend any inappropriate names.
There are no prizes associated with this system.
You will not own the pitch.
